I got mine a couple of months ago. I charged it within the house then produced a route with an upcoming trip.

I left for my trip, with the GPS in the cradle, the power cord attached at both ends (unit and car). After I got just a little farther compared to the bottom with the driveway, the device set it up the choice of closing or using electric batteries. Just what?

To create a much longer evaluate shorter--be sure to attach the mini-USB end from the power cord for the cradle assembly *before* you mount the unit within the cradle. That is described inside the tiny manual that occurs along with it, and it is crucial for its use.

I did so find it just a little off-putting that fairly often an ad will run over the top under the banner, something about Very best Western rewards. Only at that price, I might rather be ad-free. That went on with the entire trip of some 400 miles.

I acquired this with the huge screen and then the campground data. I camp within a travel trailer, therefore this will always be installed on the car windshield. Now i'm pleased that the cradle assembly allows it being extended far enough through the windshield how the Florida sun won't shine down on it--my Garmin invariably overheated and stopped functioning when placed within the dashboard mount. Within an Xterra, this can extend towards the front with the radio area, away from the sun.
